Probable starting lineups:
Mignolet, Clyne, Kolo Toure, Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana
Hart, Sagna, Otamendi, Kompany, Clichy, Yaya Toure, Fernando, Sterling, David Silva, Fernandinho, Aguero
Few days ago I took this tip and I missed. Manchester City have lifted the trophy in the Capital One Cup, but the victory came after penalties. Nevertheless, I believe Liverpool will lose once again. Some of the reasons remain - Liverpool are far from desired form. They victory over Augsburg in UEFA Europe League on Thursday surely improved the atmosphere, but it remain the fact the Reds were lucky because the Germans played poor on that match.
Liverpool have huge issues in the defense. Three central defenders are struggling with injuries. Mamadou Sakho sustained a head injury at Wembley, Martin Skrtel remains out with a hamstring injury, while Dejan Lovren, who missed the Wembley match, is rated as doubtful. That's not all, new signing Steven Caulker is also injured. There are problems on the other positions too. The former Liverpool players Jamie Carragher said Alberto Moreno was poor and deserved to be replaced. It is clear Moreno is out of form. The goalkeeper Simon Mignolet made a huge mistake in 49th minute when City scored. He is under big pressure and that's not good.
Manchester City, meanwhile, played an excellent match in Ukraine and beat Dynamo Kiev with 3:1 in the Champions League. The Citizens have almost secured progress and I believe the atmosphere in the squad is positive at the moment. I am sure the players confidence is bigger after they won the League Cup on Sunday. Yesterday Leicester failed to win and this is a perfect opportunity to cut the difference.
I expect Manchester City to take advantage from the momentum.
