One semi-final match at the World Championship in Croatia is already known, it is a duel between Serbia and Turkey. And who will be the other two semi-finalist we will find out today after matches USA-Russia and Lithuania - Argentina. After all that was seen in the tournament so far, I think bet on Serbia (+7) is best bet of this championship. I am convinced that Serbia will win this match. In my opinion, this will be a much easier task for Serbia than it was in the QF against Spain, or in eighth finals against Croatia and against Argentina in the group stage. For me this will be by far the easiest match for Serbia on the championship, of course not counting the games against underdog teams such as Jordan and Angola. And I have a lot of reasons for such thinking. First, I think the bookies set odds in this way because of good play of Turkey in the previous games as well as because of the fact that they are hosts of this championship. There are lot of talking about advantage of home court here. And I must to admit. Turkey really play much better in front of their fans. But also we should not forget that Serbia already beat them twice in less then a month in games that were also played in Turkey. Also the quality is undoubtedly on the side of Serbia. Serbia has twelve quality players and coach Dusan Ivkovic use them all.
Against Spain only Milan Mačvan did not came into play, but in the previous match against Croatia this player made a great contribution. This is the biggest advantage of the Serbian team, twelve equally high-quality players, so that if one of them does not has his best day, someone else will always come out as suprise. So in my opinion coach of Turkey, Bogdan Tanjevic will have to come up with something new if he wants to beat Serbia. If he choose zone defense that surely will lead them to a disastrous defeat, with excellent shooters for three point in Serbia team. And if Turkey opt out of the playing zone defense, then Serbia will use all the advantages of Nenad Krstic and Kosta Perovic in the paint. In any case for me Serbia is strong favorite to win this game.
