Football, Ecuador Serie A
Normally, if I'd hear about Imbabura playing against Loja, I would stay away from it, as I'd expect a low scoring mug-fest. And while the mug-fest is still expected to happen, I have a strong feeling that we'll be seeing a couple of goals here. Both teams have recently changed their coach, so I'm hoping for a bit of a momentum for both of them. Pinto, Imbabura's new coach, has plenty of experience with team that are in the relegation battle. And with Imbabura on a relegation place, I guess he'll have to attack in order to get some points, especially against the smaller teams. For LDU, Ochoa will once again be interim of the team. He knows the players very well, so there shouldn't be any need for accommodation time. Both teams are prone to ups and downs, so they can't really be trusted, but some of their recent matches speak a lot about their potential. LDU Loja have recently won 6-3 at Independiente and 4-2 with Cuenca, while Imbabura lost 1-3 to both Barcelona and El Nacional. So they have what it takes for some goals, and with Imbabura expected to press for the 3 points, Loja should find plenty of spaces. GL!
