After their Championsleague exit against Inter, Barcelona showed some great spirit when they hammered an in form Villarreal 4-1 at El Madrigal last weekend. Still with only a one point advantage of Real, Barcelona have the chance to go four up and the team of coach Guardiola should have no problems against the Islanders. Barcelona have been perfect with one exception at home and have scored goals for fun. In ten of their 17 games, the Blaugrana have scored more than two goals. There are no fresh injury nor suspension worries for coach Guardiola but with a look ahead of next weekends clash against Seville, he might rest one or two players.
Tenerife have been in quite good form and they are level on points with Malaga. With only two defeats out of their last eight games, the islanders have some good chances to remain in the top flight but they feel that they have no chance today. Tenerife have lost 13 games on the main land, and conceded more than two goals eight times. Coach Oltra announced that he will rest a couple of key players for next weekend.
Barcelona will certainly win this game while only the margin is unknown. A couple of months ago, Racing went to Nou Camp with the same feelings and were humiliated 4-0 and it should have been even more. Tenerife already think about the next two games and although Barce might not play their best XI, they have so much talent in their side that they should win this tie by more than three goals.
