    this should be a pretty boring end of season game with both sides thinking about a well earned break for the summer.

    both have just managed to stay up but neither manager will be too excited about the season. again st mirren have been pretty poor to watch and aberdeen- for a club their size- are a bit of a shambles on and off the park.

    we seen why st mirren have struggled most of the season in the league cup final against rangers. despite a 2 man advantage- thanks to a couple of red cards- saints still couldnt break down the champions and lost to a late kenny miller strike. it wasnt the best day for gus mcpherson and showed exactly why so many fans want change in paisley. he is not the most attacking manager in the world and has always found setting a team up to score goals quite difficult. this was clear in the league cup final.

    they will finish the season as one of the lowest scoring sides.

    aberden have been even worse. really a team of their standing in the game should have been fighting it out with hearts and hibs for 4th spot not finishing bottom 6.

    they have been woeful and just like saints- struggled all year to score goals.

    this looks a boring end of season match between 2 clubs who will be delighted when the final whistle goes and season 09/10 is over. go for under. both can certainly defend and have a decent record at the back but as i said scoring goals for either side has been a problem since the opening day.
