these 2 sides have had a few problems in defence recently and with both attacks on form- we should get a high scoring 80 mins on what will be a perfect night for rugby.

leeds sneaked through in the cc with that win over wigan. probably didnt deserve it but it says a lof for their workrate and desire that rhinos were 2nd best for most of the game and still managed to win. leeds will take a lot of heart from that result because there was serious question marks over their form this season and how they would cope with high flyers warrington and wigan. in recent weeks we have seen them defeat both.

wakefield are a strange side. its wrong to write them off when bookies make them total outsiders because kear has a history of getting them to punch above their weight. but there is the other side of wakey when-at times against side of the same standard- their attiude is poor and they have been turned-over. still we seem them smash quins by 50 points 2 weeks back so while defence is still a problem putting 50 on the board against any side in super league is good going. it means the lines and angles are pretty good and despite a bad run the confidence is getting better. a weeks rest having been knocked out the cup earlier in the season will not have done any harm either.

this is a fixture that has a history of being high scoring. both teams love to entertain and like to get the ball to the edges of attack as quickly as possible. wakefield did score 30 points agains leeds up in scotland recently and also beat them in the opening weeks of the season on their own turf. i expect them to give leeds some problems- the rhinos have been woeful at defending on the bomb so hopefully we will see the ball in the air when the wildcates attack. but i really cannot see wakey having a strong enough line to stop leeds posting a high score. should be an exciting one.
