Panthers have hit a bit of a sticky spell for the 1st time since the opening couple of weeks of the season but this is a nice fixture to get back on track and push for the top 4.

3 defeats on the spin for Penrith but every 1 has been a tight game against sides fighting for the play offs. Quality sides that will have a say in this years championship.

We shouldnt just how well the mountain men have played in the Nrl this year. Their forwards have been superb- as good as any side- but their biggest weapon has to be their terrific kicking game which has troubled just about every team they have come up against.

NQ season is over and the Cowboys are thinking about next year. Thats not to say they throw in the towel and dont bother to turn up- guys are playing for their future and supporters will still demand effort for their wages. But we did see a pretty awful performance at the storm a few weeks back which suggested some players had their mind on holidays. Its been strange watching the Cowboys this season- they still have so much class in the half back positions but the forwards aint been setting them up to play in the right areas and ofcourse there has been a lot of injuries.

Penrith have to win- they have to show everyone their season is not about to collapse- i think they will be highly motivated to win this and to be fair their record at home this season has been nothing short of excellent.
