    1st round of 1st Portuguese League and reigning champion Benfica will try to continue in the last season mood and beat Academica last last year with a class difference. Benfica broke last year 4 year lasting hegemony of FC Porto and it was return in a style. 30 rounds, 24 wins, 4 ties and just 2 losses are impressive and their home performance is great 14-1-0. The only tie was in the 1st round against Maritimo but this will not happen today. Best striker and shooter of 26goals Cardozo remains in the team. Talented DiMario left for Real Madrid but I think he can be replaced by another Argentinian Gaitan. Results in friendlies were good and only few mishaps were against Tottenham 0-1 or against FC Porto in the Supercup 0-2.
    Visitors were with 10 points one of the weakest away teams.
    Last season start and 2nd half start were disaster and starting with Benfica will not be easy for them to change it. They lost few quality players like Williams (CSKA Sofia), Paulo Sergio (Leiria), Joao Ribeiro (Guimaraes), Cris (Asteras T.), Lito (Portimao) and defender Emídio Rafael (FC Porto). Team did not get any great players just Dioga Mela (Portimao) a Dioga Valente from Braga are worth to mention.
    Although Benfica lost 2 season in a row, last season they won easily 4-0 and I think they can win by 2 goals without big troubles. Higher stakes.
