    Northampton to win.

    The Saints may have come up short last season but this is a nice fixture to kick off the new campaign. They should be desperate to get off to a flyer- and with the champions visiting- there is sure to be a sell out crowd backing this very talented and fearless young side.

    Ofcourse Leicester are once again the side to beat- the team that manages to play very average rugby all through the regular season and hits top form for the play offs. This side has some much experience and players who know how to win games at international level.

    But it has to be said the Tigers to tend to turn in some woeful performances on the road and they are not known as the greatest starters to every season.

    This is clearly going to be a very tight game- as the odds suggest- but for me the pick has to be Northampton. Home advantage is massive in rugby union and with the crowd behind them i expect them to come out on top. Their speed in the back line will be the difference as it is one area where Tigers can be weak. As i said Leicester do tend to struggle on the road at times and this is a tough start to the new season. Go for a home win.
